Material Recovery Facilities
Material recovery facilities (MRFs) are essential components of modern waste management system, replacing the outdated transfer stations and significantly reducing waste sent to landfills by as much as 50%.
Utilizing a diverse array of mechanical equipment including conveyor belts, trommels, screens, magnets and optical sorters, MRFs efficiently separate recyclables based on their material composition, size, shape, and weight.
At BlueGen we recognize the immense environmental value provided by MRFs. Currently, we own, operate or develop three MRFs: a municipal solid waste sorting facility, a packaging waste sorting facility and an MBT facility, which integrates sorting with biological treatment.
