From Waste to Value
Transforming wastewater into a valuable resource, the BAZAN Renewable Resources project, processing 15,600 m³/day of industrial effluent, marked a groundbreaking achievement. BAZAN Oil Refinery, faced a significant challenge in treating its wastewater for safe discharge. In 2015, BlueGen Water embarked on a decade-long BOT contract to revamp the wastewater reuse plant, elevating its capacity to handle 650 m³/h of wastewater. The result – Creating an alternative high-quality desalinated and demineralized water for cooling towers and boilers, with a remarkable 60% process recovery ratio and 2.5 times impurity concentration.
