The AGAR® (Attached Growth Airlift Reactor) technology, employs biofilm grown on carrier media to aerobically degrade wastewater pollutants. With AGAR® IFAS (Integrated Fixed-film Activated Sludge), we combine this process with MBBR to create a fully integrated system suitable for municipal and industrial markets.

AGAR® IFAS is an ideal solution for upgrading existing activated sludge plants to achieve proper nitrogen removal or for new plants requiring extensive BOD and nitrogen removal. Our system offers COD/BOD/NH4/NO3 removal, with carbon recovery built into the process, and utilizes the advantages of both MBBR and activated sludge.

Our system’s features include a simple, low-cost upgrade for existing activated sludge plants, which can handle high organic/nitrogen loads.
